I have been wanting to do this Unexpected Health insight for a while. But today, as I stared at my computer screen, trying to condense my entire professional background into 30-50 words for my LiveSTRONG bio, I finally found the reason to write about the Unexpected Health we find…when we get to the point.
Relaying information in the, “short and sweet,” the “quick and dirty” style is rather profound. Minimum word counts tend to drive a point home because people’s attention spans can handle the 5-minute, short-form tidbit of knowledge…and making a poignant impact in peoples’ lives is healthy.
Information and impact can be lost when we are long-winded. People get bored listening to long stories. Even if the story is amazingly inspiring, the longer we blab about it, the less inspiring it becomes. So the next time you feel the need to relay some useful information–some healthFUL knowledge–get to the point. Meaning does not require a lot of words…so use your words wisely. -Until tomorrow, Jaime
